E-learning Assignment Part 2. (reg no. 7)

If the freezing point of water became 10 degrees C, those countries which experience this case might have trouble of having something to eat. Plants don't grow well and chances of survival is very little as one might get freeze to death if not enough precaution is taken. For example countries like the north and south pole, canada etc. are examples of countries that are temperatures below 10 degrees C. In this case too, ice aren't able to float on the water when its 10 degrees C as the ice in turn to become denser than the cold water.

The Creation Of The Musical Box

The creation i am amazed by is the musical box. It is an instrument that is made of metal by a spring. Clockwork devices where a removable metal disk or cylinder was used only in a "programming" function without producing the sounds directly by means of pins and a comb. It is also considered as a combination of player painos.

They were usually powered by clockwork and originally produced by artisan watchmakers. The first musical box factory was opened there in 1815 by Jérémie Recordon and Samuel Junod. There were also a few manufacturers in Bohemia and Germany. The very first boxes at the end of the 18th century made use of metal disks. The cheap, small windup music box movements (including the cylinder and comb and the spring) to add a bit of music to mass-produced jewelry boxes and novelty items are now produced in countries with low labour costs.

In some of the costlier models, the cylinders could be removed to change melodies, thanks to an invention by Paillard in 1862. Most musical boxes were gradually replaced by player pianos, which were louder and more versatile and melodious, when kept tuned, and by the smaller gramophones which had the advantage of playing back voices. I am fascinated by it as it creates beautiful music with just simple tools.
