How Does A Magnifying Glass Work?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/enforces/3491341160/
A magnifying glass works by creating a magnified virtual image of an object behind the lens. The distance between the lens and the object must be shorter than the focal length of the lens for this to occur. Otherwise, the image appears smaller and inverted, and can be used to project images onto surfaces.

How does the matchstick lit up using a magnifying glass

By using a magnifying glass , it is possible to lit up a matchstick. determine the focal length of the magnifying glass, the heat from the sun is than shone onto the focal point of the magnifying glass whereby all the light rays are concentrated at the focal point of the magnifying glass. this is where all the heat is intense and have high temperature. after a period of time, the matchstick will then be able to be lit up by the sun.

http://www.nygh.moe.edu.sg/projects/physics/light/light04-ReflectionFrom2Mirrors.htm

1)How many images would you get for an object that is placed between two mirrors placed at an angle less than 90(degrees)?

when a mirror is places less than 90 degrees, the number of images form is more than two. Because, as the angle is getting smaller, more images are being formed.

2) What happens to the images of this angle is it is bigger than 90(degrees)?

when you place a mirror at an angle of bigger then 90 degrees, you may get lesser than two images. Because, as the angle is getting wider, it will not reflect as much as the angle of lesser than 90 degrees.

3)how do mirrors produce funny images?

Most mirrorsbend over time top to bottom. If seen from the side, there is a slightcurvature in the edge. The top and bottom edges are usually straight. If the center bulges out alittle bit, your height will appear slightly smaller but your width will notbe changed. This can make a person look a little fat. If the center bendsback a little, then you can look a little taller without looking any wider.Mirrors can bend along other axes, but the one described is most likely.

E-learning assignment part 2 for reg no. 08

i think that there will be lesser crops because countries like china during winter are below 10 degree celsius which result in more colder area which means that . Due to most of the countries water getting frozen, the water frozen will not be suitable for drinking anymore. thus, it will reduce the country's water supply for drinking . (:

Invention of the Radio..

About 180 years ago, Francesco Zantedeschi was the first person who tried doing an experiment by connection between light, electricity, and magnetism. But during 1864, James Clerk Maxwell had a theory and predicted that electromagnetic waves do exist, which include radio waves. This will then help inventors to invent radio. But in 1901, a guy named Marconi says that he received daytime transatlantic radio frequency signals at a wavelength of 366 metres which he later receive the 1909 (Nobel Prize in Physics) with another guy called, Karl Ferinand Braun for the contribution to the existing radio sciences. That is why the radio was being invented. (:
